Wiz Khalifa-On My Level
This song makes obvious references to marijuana, alcohol and sex. Has been played on my iPod hundreds of times.

My Music Memories
My taste in music has changed dramatically over the years. My earliest memories of music were my cousins listening to New Kids on the Block when I was five years old. I didn’t like the music, but I remember how popular it was at the time.
Moving on to elementary school, I remember rap was very popular. I remember going home after school, turn on the hip hop radio station and I would do my homework while the music was playing. I remember Britney Spears and Cristina Aguilera were now becoming very popular, both among boys and girls. Eminem was also now coming into the music world, and I remember how controversial he was. I remember watching specials on MTV about him, and how parents were protesting against his music. I can say that my favorite rapper at that time was Master P. He didn’t last very long.
Moving onto junior high, I really began to enjoy alternative rock. Bands like Korn, Rage against the Machine, Incubus and Deftones were some of my favorite. I believe this happened due to the fact that these were my rebellious years. I remember wanting to go to a rock concert so bad, but my Mom wouldn’t let me. I also remember how hard it was to buy a C.D due to the fact that parental advisory stickers were now being introduced. I remember trying to make sure my Mom didn’t see these stickers when she was buying them for me. I also remember that at this time, Rap was very popular, but I hated it.
Moving on to high school. This is the time when I stated to appreciate the music of Tupac Shakur. I also started listening to more West Coast Hip-Hop, such as Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. I was now listening to old hip hop from the early 90’s. Then I started listening to more modern rap, such as 50 Cent and The Game. Tupac though was for sure my favorite. I remember taking my C.D player to school, and listening to Tupac C.Ds whenever I could.
College was definitely an eye opener. I still loved listening to hip hop, such as Jay-Z and Nas, but now I stated to enjoy reggae. Currently on my Ipod, I still have tons of rap and hip hop, but now it also included plenty of reggae.
My taste in music has definitely changed throughout the years. I think I have listened to a great variety of genres through the years that have helped me find my current favorite tastes in music.

Songs I hate
I cannot think of too many songs that I "hate". I can though think of a few songs that I dislike. Here is my list.
Bruno Mars-"The Lazy Song" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLexgOxsZu0
-Although it's innocent, I really don't want to hear a song promoting laziness.
MIMS-"This is Why I'm Hot" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwyE3WJ4AWo&ob=av3e
-Horrible song. How someone could listen to this really surprises me. What surprises me even more is how popular this song was.
Lil Jon-"Snap yo Fingers" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoA-ByjIf2M
-Another song that unfortunately represents rap music. Very popular song, but I just can't stand listening to it.
